Back from Las Vegas and Back to the Gym
After spending three days in Las Vegas for July 4th weekend, She Rocks Fitness is back to eating healthy, working out, and back to business. It was a crazy time, but every once in a while a personal trainer is allowed to have fun, not workout, and indulge, because life is too short. The key after a vacation filled with cocktails, decadent meals, and lack of exercise is to just get back to your usual routine.
It felt good to take some time off from the gym and not have to meticulously watch what I was eating. My body needed a break and I could sense that. When I woke up on Tuesday morning and had a healthy breakfast and motivated myself to go to the gym, it was a little bit of a struggle. Once I was on the Stair Master for 10 minutes, I was ready to keep going and I was ready to get back into my routine.
She Rocks Fitness believes that everyone deserves time off from the gym and your diet, because we are human and get tired, burned out, and will eventually hit a plateau. It feels good to allow your body to relax and not be so good all the time. But taking time off, remember that if you don’t get back into your routine of working out and watching your diet, you will lose the muscle that you worked so hard for and gain the weight back! It happens and will happen very quickly.
She Rocks Fitness hopes that you had a safe and happy holiday weekend with your friends, family, and loved ones! After all the burgers, hot dogs, and cold beers, it is time to get back into your routine and start the second half of summer FRESH! You can do it!
